A national landmark - a national hero.
Stirling's renowned landmark, commemorating the life of Sir William Wallace and overlooking the scene of his greatest victory, at the Battle of Stirling Bridge, in 1297. Inside the Monument you can listen to the trial which led to Wallace's brutal execution as the hands of Edward I and see the great battle sword with which he struck fear into the hearts of his enemies. From the Monument's crown you can take in magnificent views across Stirling and the heart of Scotland.
Free parking, courtesy bus service, audio tour (5 languages), Legends Coffee House, souvenir and gift shop.
