Those fortunate enough to play at Stirling Golf Club enjoy one of golf’s most spectacular backdrops - Stirling Castle atop its dramatic volcanic crag - and the course offers stunning views in all directions, including the Ochil and Lomond Hills to the east, and across the Carse of Stirling, to the Trossachs and the southern Highlands beyond.
Set in the historic Kings Park, Stirling is a golf course of outstanding quality and rare beauty - a golfing experience not to be missed.
James IV played the second recorded round of golf here in 1506. Today it is a very popular 18-hole course with views to distract players from their game. The Club has an illustrious history. Tom Morris Jnr was appointed first club professional in 1873 and Henry Cotton designed the present course in 1936.
