Easter weekend is set to be something special this year for visitors to Stirling's fabulous royal castle.
Saturday 3rd, Sunday 4th and Monday 5th April will see a host of colourful characters decend on Stirling Castle for a fun-packed weekend.
Magic, comedy, puppetry, jugglers, music and of course audience interaction will be provided by a talented troop of costumed performers. The hilarious comedy featuring Squire Softboil and Baron Hardegg is also back by popular demand, after delighting crowds last Easter.
Wildlife lovers can also look forward to seeing a World of Owls - inviting you to get close up with a variety of owl species, as well as witnessing these breathtaking birds of prey in flight.
Gillian MacDonald, of Historic Scotland, comments: “Our three days of excellent entertainment offer superb value for money – plus, of course a chance to explore one of Scotland’s most outstanding historic attractions, so we hope that as many families as possible will join us here at Stirling Castle this Easter.”
The Easter entertainmant is all included with the normal castle admission price, so Stirling really is the place to be this weekend.
Eggstra hint: If you're looking for somewhere good to roll your eggs try the Gowan Hill, next to Stirling Castle or the King's Knot - the former sculptured gardens, now grasslands, set beneath the rocky cliffs overlooked by the castle.
Need somewhere a good to stay? How about an Easter short break at one of Stirling's hotels? Or perhaps some cosy Bed & Breakfast accommodation?
