Great Time Scotland is a family-owned company specialising in corporate entertainment both on and off their farm at Kinlochard. On farm they offer outdoor activities including highland games, sheepdog demonstrations, clay pigeon shooting, mountain biking, canoeing and fishing. Indoors they have converted a group of early 17th century farm buildings into MacGregor’s Barn, which can dine and dance groups of up to 60 visitors. They are a family of musicians so lunches and dinners are accompanied by musical entertainment and story telling about the farm and its Jacobite connections -not least Rob Roy who came of age on the farm in October 1689 at the feast of the “Hairst Kirn.”
Historical and agricultural tours of Ledard Farm also take place on a weekly basis.
Off farm their sheepdog and duck display team, The Quack Commandos travels all over Scotland, including the islands to the West. Their musical offer includes a folk duo, a ceilidh band (The Kinlochard Ceilidh Band) with several awards from the Scottish Music Industry, and Scotland’s only French Musette band, Les Trois Blondes, playing Parisian cafe music.
MacGregor’s Barn and Bar
A truly unique venue… steeped in the warmth, hospitality and colourful history of our native land. A place where great memories are made!
Rob Roy MacGregor came of age in the barn in October 1689 just three months after he had fought on the Jacobite side at the Battle of Killiecrankie. The weapons and banners of the clans are hanging from the walls of this barn –if only the walls could talk!
The barn can dine parties of up to 54. It has a minstrels’ gallery for the band for after dinner ceilidh dancing and the adjoining Stables Bar has been used for many good after dinner sessions.
