To celebrate Hogmanay 2017 and bring in the New Year in style, Stirling will host its biggest ever midnight fireworks display to light up the Stirling skyline. There will also be a fantastic, fun, fireworks display at 9.00pm for families and young people with a viewing area for both displays (for up to 1,500 people) on Stirling Castle Esplanade.

This year’s fireworks will once again be focussed around the iconic Stirling Castle, which has been an integral part of Stirling’s Hogmanay Celebrations for many years and provides a stunning backdrop to the displays. There will also be drumming & piping groups to keep revellers entertained, whilst waiting for the fireworks, and hot food and an outdoor bar.

The displays will be ticketed with all proceeds from sales going directly back into the spectacular displays and associated infrastructure. The tickets have been kept very affordable and will be on sale from this website on Friday 17th November 2017 from 9.00am onwards (see below).

Plan early and book your tickets in advance. Those without a ticket will not be able to enter the viewing area.

There will also be many other events and activities taking place throughout Stirling on December 31st, including free, lantern-making workshops at The Tolbooth – workshop spaces for December 31st can be booked here on a first-come-first-served basis from Friday 24th November. (watch out for more information soon). The traditional and very popular Albert Halls Hogmanay Ceilidh will also be on, with dinner, dancing, entertainment and a full bar.

Come along and enjoy the festive fun!

For family groups, why not make a day of it and bring your family to the free, lantern-making workshops and finish the evening off at our family fireworks display? It’s sure to be a day to remember!
